Darryl Purpose is the type of musician we all aspired to be at one time or another. A brand of musician that can pick up his acoustic in just about any setting, sing a few bars and sound really good. Already on at KERA and added at WEBK this week, “Right Side of Zero” almost sounds as if it was produced specifically for the progressive format. The songwriting is clever and the musicianship is a 10+. The instrumental “Rootwing,” “Right Side of Zero,” “The Island Song,” “Victory in the Struggle” and “Paint the Sky” are all airplay contenders.
