Purpose possesses one of the most affably gentle voices around, a resonant James Taylor-like baritone that sounds splendid in this acoustic setting. It’s a voice that goes straight to the heart, ideal for the melodic sweetness of original songs such as “Paint the Sky” and the superb title track.
