Darryl Purpose went into the studio in the spring of 1997 to record the songs that would go on his new CD. The idea was to make a clean recording that could be used by other musicians to learn the songs prior to making the real recording. Darryl sat down, sang each of the songs twice, then chose the best of the two versions of each song and made a cassette. But, everyone who listened to the tape told him, This is great! THIS should be the CD! After considerable thought, Darryl decided to add a little violin embellishment from the talented Daryl S, formerly with Naked to the World, and to go with it. The result is a CD which was received enthusiastically by fans and radio programmers alike. |
