What a treat it has been to learn of you and your great talents. I saw you perform twice last year with the great Ellis Paul. It's been fun hearing you both sing together on the Dragonfly Races album. Looking forward to catching you live again here soon.

Hi Darryl,

You put on an amazing show in our backyard many summers ago. I was listening to the recording that we captured with the waves of cicadas singing ghostly harmonies in the background. I just wanted to take a moment to wish you well and reiterate how much fun everyone had. I hope 2008 brings great things your way. Thanks again for sharing your talent with our friends and family. Bill Canonico, who played some songs before your show always asks me when you will be through to do it again. We would love to get together and play guitar next time you are in Columbus. Thanks again for the 3 string capo. I use it quite often. Cheers, Tom

Darryl, I absolutely love the DVD. Clayton bought it for me since he's been gabbing on about it. It was so wonderful to see you play live..on a dvd ha. But I dig the new tune, "Fourth Chair." Absolutely beautiful.

I hope this finds you well.. and come to the Sunshine State for a gig or two!! :]

Darryl,
It was great seeing and hearing you in Southborough Saturday night. You still have it- great songs (I like the new ones too), stories, and playing. I got the impression that you enjoyed yourself enough to consider some touring again. I'll keep my fingers crossed and would love to hear about a new CD someday soon. Take care Darryl.

John (from NYC)

Hey darryl man, I heard you song, singer songwriter heaven on WDBX, local public radio. I threatened to stab the guy that was driving if he stopped the song it was so great. If you ever come touring around southern Illinois, I'd like to get together and pick. I've got several friends that want to start a folk band, but we don't know where to start. Even a list of good artists to look for tequnique in would be cool. Thanks for listening man.

Anybody here ever swear off chocolate and then go back and give yourself a treat? You know that feeling of realizing how incredibly pleasurable it is when you feel the silken sweetness melting on your tongue? That´s the feeling I got when I heard the first few notes of "Korea Town Intro" at last night´s house concert. I knew what I had been missing, but until I heard it, I didn´t realize quite how wonderful it was. I especially liked hearing Dan Fogelberg´s "There´s a Place in the World for a Gambler" merging into "Singer Songwriter Heaven." I´m sure Dan has a prime spot on Cloud 9 and certainly our favorite Gambler has a place in the world and in our hearts. Thanks for stepping out of obscurity and providing us with a delightful evening of music.

I was at Russ and Julie's last night for your performance. Thank you for the gift of your lyrics and music. The depth of feeling you bring to your performances is quite profound. You are voice very much needed in a world starving for a sense of connection.

I am so excited to see you this Saturday night at Russ and Julies. I have all of your CDs and play them all the time. I have given your Christmas CD to everyone on my list.

I would love it if you could sing my favorite song - The River,Where She Sleeps.

Thank you!!

Hi Darryl! It's your little Calica cat fresh back in Montreal. Keep up the great work, the great play, and drop me a line.

Hi there,
a friend let me listen to Gifts of the Magi, way cool.
i'm trying to find the lyrics for mom to read, we were having a good time giggling to what words i could relate to her. you really need to visit the west, in particular, Missoula, Montana, and play at the Wilma theater. my piano teacher played the organ, at the Wilma, to the silent movies. if anyone has a link for your lyrics let me know. have a safe and warm holiday season.

Darryl, We were on-line pulling up directions for the 12/8 show at the Colum bus Art Center, when we found the show was last night!! We are devastated, as we had Canyon covered, River(18 yr.old man now) busy, and Doug & I had planned a special road trip date night to see you play! I don't know how I got it wrong, but I wrote 12/8 on the calendar and filed your e-mail. We both had looked so forward to seeing you, I may just call to see if you're still in Ohio. Anyways, my apologies, please know we were there in spirit. We love you and miss you, peace now and through the holiday season on into the new year. Hope to see you in '08! Jani

Great show in Columbus last night, I especially enjoyed the new song Baltimore.

Kate - Friday, December 7th, 2007 8:23 PM
I was the woman on the front row in Columbus taking notes. Thanks for providing so many thoughts to write down! I especially appreciated your sentiment about a person'slife being a gift given exclusively to them. Words that struck a chord, words to live by.

Robert West - Friday, December 7th, 2007 8:20 AM
Darryl!

Saw you a few years in Columbus Ohio and will be there again tonight! Can't wait to see ya again and pick up a few more CD's....

Oh! Tonight is a special night, my fiancee will be there as a birthday treat, she's never heard you before I had her listen and it was her idea to go see you tonight. Her name is Angie and if you get this before the show and want to wish her a happy birthday, that would be GREAT!

Thanks for the music!

Robert West
